Teaching Style

Hard work, focus and commitment is encouraged at Taylor Made Pilates. With passion and a push, Marilyn will help you reach your potential.  Clients that are injured will appreciate her ability to slow down to progress them at a level that is appropriate for their needs.  Marilyn takes your desire to improve yourself very seriously, but there is always room for laughter during a session.

Pilates Certifications

Level 5, Advanced Certification, through Pilates Seattle International  (apprenticeship) and Romana's Pilates (final certification).  Learn more.  Matwork Level 1 through Stott Pilates, Functional Anatomy through Stott Pilates. 

Stretching Certifications

Certified Level 1 Flexibility Therapists for Lower and Upper Body, through the “Stretch to Win Institute".  Learn more.

Instruction 

Marilyn Taylor

Marilyn studied at Pilates Seattle International for 950 hours in 2004. In January 2005 she was officially certified by Romana’s Pilates in New York City. Romana is the world-renowned protégé of Joseph Pilates. 

Prior to becoming a Pilates instructor, Marilyn was a Canadian National Team Rower, competing at the World Championships in 2001, winning gold in the double sculls at the 2003 PanAm Games and winning the single scull at the 2003 Canadian Olympic Trials.

Currently, Marilyn cycles, cross-county skis, trail runs, and of course practices Pilates to stay fit and healthy.
